

A native Russian, Ms. Yulia Potvin is a representative of the Russian «passionate» style of violin playing. Ms. Yulia's musicianship has been internationally recognized by receiving awards from the All-Russian Chamber Ensemble Competition, Maria Yudina International Competition, International Competition in Jyvaskyla.
Since moving to the United States in 2009, Ms. Potvin has performed at several summer festivals such as the Eastern Music Festival, the National Music Festival, Heifetz International Music Institute, Advanced Chamber Music Seminar, and the Modern Early Music Institute.
Ms. Yulia holds a concertmaster position at the Union Symphony Orchestra in North Carolina and a member of Roanoke Symphony Orchestra in Virginia.
For 9 years Ms. Yulia held a concertmaster position at the Union Symphony Orchestra in North Carolina, has been a member of Roanoke Symphony Orchestra (Virginia) and Worcester Festival Orchestra (Massachusetts).
In 2018 Yulia Potvin has been appointed as a Director of Medwin String Quartet and Orchestra Assistant Director at Humanities and Arts Department of Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
Ms. Yulia regularly performs as a soloist across the U.S.A, Europe and Russia. Frequently she performs chamber music with Bach Consort of Worcester, Carpe Diem Chamber Orchestra and other chamber ensembles.
